The Office of Recreation and Park Resources (ORPR) and RST341: Community Recreation Planning in the Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism have partnered with University of Illinois Extension to create comprehensive recreational plans for the villages of Dunlap and Hanna City, IL. Students met with project stakeholders and listened to presentations from the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and Peoria Park District. Over the course of the semester, students will develop plans for how the communities can improve upon their recreational facilities, programs, and events. ORPR is committed to providing recreational services to both large and small communities in the state of Illinois. We are excited to see what the class proposes!
