The Recreation, Sport and Tourism minor is for students who want to work in the recreation, sport, or tourism industries, or for those who believe that understanding these fields will boost their careers.
Foundational courses offer a broad overview of the industry, while electives let students specialize or deepen their knowledge in specific areas.
Basic Requirements:
- 9 hours of foundational coursework
- 10-12 hours of elective coursework
Minimum Credit Hours to Complete the Minor: 19
Electives:
- At least 6 of the elective hours are advanced (300- or 400-level courses).
- A total of 6 hours for the minor must be separate from credit hours you’re using for your major or another minor.
